A little about me
I’m Emma, a Melbourne-based designer with over 10 years' experience across graphic, UI, UX and service design. My approach has always centred on understanding people: what they need, how they make decisions, and what makes an experience feel right.
Renovating my own home made me realise just how much I enjoy bringing spaces to life. It's inspired me to apply my experience in designing products and services to interiors, while studying a Certificate IV in Interior Decoration with Sydney Design School.
What inspires me
I'm particularly interested in how intentional design shapes experiences at home and in the places we choose to visit. I also love experimenting with colour; I believe it’s one of the most accessible ways to transform a space and bring richness and individuality to interiors without a big budget.
One day, I’d love to own a boutique accommodation where I can curate the guest experience, from the interiors and atmosphere to the smallest personal touches, creating moments of delight, intrigue and curiosity that stay with people long after they've left.
Let’s work together
I'm based in Melbourne's inner west and looking for opportunities to work alongside interior designers and creative businesses while I continue my studies.
I’m open to part-time, freelance or full-time opportunities with interior design studios, suppliers, property stylists and others in the interiors industry.
I bring over 10 years of design experience, a strong creative eye and an appreciation for the details that bring a space together. With my background in experience design, research and problem-solving, I have much to contribute while continuing to learn and grow in the industry.
If you think I’d be a good fit for your team, or if you have an opportunity to collaborate, I’d love to connect.
